Depending upon your BBQ Smoker/Pit or Grill, you may simply replace the original thermometer or Drill a 7/8 hole in the lid or door and mount a NEW accurate BBQ thermometer.
Thermometer has a 3" dial face with a 4" stem.  It is very easy to install, as you just insert the stem through A 7/8 hole on your Grill-Smoker-pit and attach the Installation Kit is included.

If your pit does not have a 7/8" hole, simply drill a hole then drop thermometer in. Screw on jam nut  from back side (jam nut is included) You can also screw it into a 1/2" pipe nipple on some Cookers.
