ANTIQUE FOOTBALL DOLL
Neat antique molded celluloid doll wearing an old style college football uniform - measures about 8" in size. Featuring a purple and gold felt uniform with celluloid shoes, head with old style helmet, celluloid hands, one of which clutches a football and fabric belt. Wearing the colors for Ashland College, Ashland, Ohio, I bought this in the 1970s when attending the college - it originally had an Ashland button on the belt which was lost over time.
Condition is excellent with no holes, tears, discoloration or damage - paint looks great and I see no dents - shoes are a bit catawampus from make - he does not stand, but will lean just fine. Solidly stuffed and marked JAPAN, you've gotta love those jodhpur style uniform pants! Fun addition to any collection - especially if you attend Ashland University!
