    Description

Here is an excellent piece from Roseville Pottery's "Columbine" floral-accented line introduced in 1941.  Roseville called the background color on this one "Red", but it is actually pink and a dusty rose on the exterior.   Unusual crescent moon shape rising from the 16-hole frog, accented with a strand of columbine with a pink blossom on one side,  and a strand of green leaves and/or buds on the other.
Shape # 42.  It is 6" tall, with a 3.75" diameter where the holes are, resting on a 2.5" diameter base ring.  Here the 6" refers to the interior diameter of the bowl.  It is about 8.25" wide handle to handle, and about 2" tall.   It has "Roseville U.S.A  42 in raised relief on the bottom, in small letters inside the base ring.
Condition:  Mint, with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs!  As made, I found one tiny pin-prick glaze pop in the blossom (see photo #7).
This is a nice companion piece to the #402-8" bowl that I also have listed separately. I show the frog with that bowl in photo # 8.  You are bidding only on the frog for this listing.
I will be listing quite a few pieces of Roseville in the coming days, and am happy to combine shipping--just let me know.  I start all my listings as true {{detail_product_description}}.99 auctions.  Good luck bidding!
