MOBIL OIL Flying Horse Executive Desk Ashtray, 1940's Bronze Spelter, Reedley CA

Description

This is an original 1940's Mobil Oil Flying A pegasus flying horse ashtray in a bronze copper coated heavy spelter. This was a promotional item given out by Mobil to dealers and business associates.
It has a very nice patina with a dark bronze tone and copper highlights. It has a well detailed Art Deco styling with a green felt covering on the bottom. A Trophy Craft, Los Angeles, Calif.  tag is still attached.
The brass plate at the top of the tray reads:

Enns was a Pontiac-Buick GMC auto dealership in Reedley California, started in 1936 and in business for over 70 years.
Very good vintage condition. Some darker dull spots in the tray from use, but no cracks, breaks, repairs and no green oxidation.
Measures 5 1/2" tall, 6 1/2" long by 5" wide. Weighs 2lbs, 14ozs.
