Piedmont Airlines Pilot Badge 1962 Issue vintage excellant NC On Balfour Card

Extremely early and rare Piedmont Airlines Pilot Badge. This is the 1962 issue badge in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. This design badge was used in 1962 when they stopped using the purser design badges (I also have one of these listed in a separate listing). Enamel is in amazing condition but there is black spots throughout from aging. I do not believe this badge was ever used on an uniform as it is still on the L.G. Balfour Co paper tag but does have the black marks from storage. Diameter is approximately 1.75”.
