    Description

    The graceful shape of this hard-to-find Roseville Futura Square Box with Leaves is glazed in a beautiful mottled blue and tan glaze. All Roseville textured matte glazes were carefully developed and applied by artists who worked with these special glazes on a daily basis for decades. The Square Box has a wonderful Art Deco leaf and vine motif that also appeared on a few other Futura pieces. The photos with the matching Candlesticks and the Twist Vase show a few of the other pieces in the collection. They are not included in this sale but will be listed separately. The Futura line was designed by Frank Ferrell for Roseville and was produced in 1928. This piece is in beautiful condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. It measures 7 inches by 7 inches by 5 inches tall. The teaspoon in one of the photographs illustrates the scale and size of the Box and is not included. This Futura Square Box was purchased from a reputable antique dealer and has been in my display cabinet along with the rest of my Futura collection for over 40 years. I pack very safely.
