    Description

Here is a nice example of Roseville Pottery's "Freesia" floral-accented line, introduced in 1945.   Roseville called the background color on this hanging planter "Delft Blue".  The freesia have cream blossoms on one side, and cream and yellow on the other.  This vase is shape #471-5".  Here the 5" refers to the interior depth of the planter.  It is 8" wide at the handles, 6" diameter at the rim.
With no "bottom" on which to place the usual Roseville inscription, it simply has a "USA" next to one of the basket chain holes.(Photo #2)  It also has a black ink or pencil "R" under the glaze on the inside of the bowl. (Photo #5)
Condition:  There is one very small 1/16" glaze flake on the rim,  with  a "bruised" or stressed areas in the glaze extending from the chip  3/4"" to the left,  along the edge of the rim by one of the basket chain holes. (See photos #10-11) There's also a small nick to the last cream freesia blossom on the opposite side (Photo #8).  Faint crazing visible only under magnification.  All in all, this piece still displays very well. (Photos where the piece is resting on the towel wash out the blue--look at the last few for a better coloring rendering.)
I will be listing quite a few pieces of Roseville in the coming days, and am happy to combine shipping--just let me know.  I start all my listings as true {{detail_product_description}}.99 auctions.  Good luck bidding!
