    Description

    Roseville Pottery Thornapple Vase, Shape 819-9, Pink, Label
    Pretty vase with a trumpet shaped rim and two small handles at the shoulder. The design depicts the white funnel shaped blossoms, green toothed leaves and prickly seed pods of the thornapple plant, also known as jimson weed or devil's snare. Dusty mottled pink background glaze, with lighter areas highlighting the design, blending into a rich green at the base. Middle Period, introduced 1937. Hard to find shape.
    Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. Overall fine crazing. Very minor glaze peppering. Tiny bit of extra clay on the front. Factory color skip along edge of rim on back side.
    Marks:  Foil label. Faint impressed Roseville 819-9".
    Dimensions:  9 1/2" high, 5 1/4" at widest point.
