Unique Bodhran

Description

This is not your everyday bodhran drum..  Let me explain.  This is a hybrid drum, for want of a better descriptor.  The core frame and tuning system is a Christian Hedwitschak Lightline, predecessor to the present day  Coreline.  In April, 2021 a great sounding kangaroo head was installed by Finnegan Hill Percussion.  The sound and responsiveness of this new head is excellent but not exactly to my pace.  But to those looking for a kangaroo skin, with all of its classic characteristics, this drum is a real gem.  Lastly, the art work, wood burning and multicover staining were my creation during the pandemic.  No paints (all stains) were used.  In addition you will notice a black comfort edge and a cross bar, which can be removed although not required because of its being placed a strategic distance from the head. A very nice wool padded case, with shoulder strap and tipper pocket is included.
I like to call this the Wildlife Drum, or Hybrid if you prefer.:)  Free shipping within continental USA.
