VTG MOBIL PEGASUS OIL TANKER / GAS STATION? REED & BARTON SILVERWARE / FLATWARE

Description

Offered here are six pieces of silverware / flatware. (These are more correctly FLATWARE, as they do NOT contain silver.) There are two teaspoons,  one tablespoon, two forks (different sizes) and a table knife. All six items are marked: "REED & BARTON." (The Reed & Barton logo on the knife is impressed, the logo is embossed on the other items.)  Near the bottoms of the handles, all six pieces have the impressed image of a Pegasus. It appears to be the "Flying Red Horse" logo used by the Mobil Petroleum & Oil company. I confess that I don't know much about these. Perhaps they are from an oil tanker cafeteria? Maybe they were given away at a service station with the purchase of gas? (I honesty don't know their history, so I'm counting on the buyer to know what they are purchasing.) They are all well used, and have scratches and are in need of a proper cleaning. You get all six pieces, as seen above.
